About Premise Lab

Premise Lab trains the thinking skill AI can't replace. Not memorization, not formula-following — the underlying ability to break a problem down, surface what you're assuming, design a cheap test, and communicate the call you made. We treat that ability as a muscle, not a personality trait, and we built the platform around the simple idea that you can train it the way you train anything else: short, structured reps, real feedback, and a score that moves.

Premise Lab is for students aged 14–22, with the framework calibrated to three age bands. The labs are short — 8 to 15 minutes — built around real scenarios drawn from school, friend groups, money, work, and the decisions students actually face. A coach reviews every response. A score (PSI) tracks improvement across six dimensions. And recommended drills target the weakest skill, so your time goes where it matters.

Why we built it

Most of school is content delivery — facts to memorize, formulas to recall. The skill that compounds in adult life — clear framing, assumption discipline, judgment under uncertainty — is mostly absorbed by accident, if at all. Premise Lab makes that skill explicit, trainable, and measurable. The bet: a 22-year-old who has done a hundred labs is a different kind of thinker than one who hasn't.

How it works

Five-step framework (FACTS), per-step coaching, six-dimension PSI score, recommended drills targeting your weakest skill. Parents of 14–18 students can opt into a dashboard that shows progress and generates a weekly conversation plan. Read the full breakdown →
